Aptos Labs, a Layer-1 blockchain platform, has partnered with Yellow Card, a licensed stablecoin infrastructure provider in Africa, to launch instant stablecoin transfers in 20 African countries. The integration allows users to send USDT and other supported stablecoins through the Aptos network without paying gas fees. Aptos previously integrated major stablecoins including USDT, USDC, and USDe. All transfers on Aptos will be settled instantly, supporting various payment use cases, including cross-border transfers, business transactions, and everyday purchases. According to Yellow Card, Sub-Saharan Africa leads global stablecoin adoption, with more than 54 million users on the continent. Yellow Card customers can move funds quickly and without high fees. The system is designed for mobile-first and high-volume use, offering fast settlement and low transaction costs. This supports both small businesses and individuals who rely on stablecoins for daily financial needs. The partnership strengthens Aptos’ role in digital payments and expands access to stablecoin-based services across the African market. Image: Freepik
