Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes, known for his bold predictions about Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins, made new statements. Announcing the prediction for the highly anticipated altcoin season, Arthur Hayes said that the altcoin season is expected to occur this summer or early in the third quarter. When Will Altcoin Season Begin? Speaking to Fortuna, Hayes explained his predictions about Bitcoin and altcoins, as well as curiosities about his portfolio. Hayes stated that he also invested in gold apart from cryptocurrencies at this point and said that gold constitutes approximately 20% of his personal investment portfolio. He argued that for the expected altcoin season, Bitcoin must first surpass $110,000 and climb to between $150,000 and $200,000 with increasing trading volume. He said he expects this growth in BTC to likely occur this summer or early in the third quarter. According to Hayes, when Bitcoin reaches these levels, the altcoin season will also begin. However, Hayes stated that this altcoin season will not be like the 2021 super cycle, where each altcoin increased 100 times, and warned investors against some altcoins. According to Hayes, older altcoins with high fully diluted valuations (FDV), low circulating supply, low user base, and low revenue are unlikely to perform well in this cycle. Ethereum Will Surpass Solana! Hayes also said that ETH has stronger upside potential than Solana, citing Ethereum’s high total value locked (TVL), robust developer ecosystem, and position as the most secure proof-of-stake blockchain. Hayes, who acknowledged that Solana has seen a tremendous rise from $7 to $170, said that despite this rise, he expects ETH to perform better in the upcoming bull market. Bitcoin Price Prediction!
