AUDC Pty Ltd, the issuer of the Australian Digital Dollar (AUDD), partners with Hedera, launching the stablecoin the Hedera Network. The launch, done with the Hedera Foundation, is the first time an Australian dollar stablecoin has been directly issued on Hedera using its Token Service (HTS). It is also the first commercial deployment of the Hedera Stablecoin Studio. With this launch, AUDD can be sent, received, and held through any Hedera-compatible digital wallet. AUDD on Hedera offers a regulated and scalable option for institutions needing compliant and efficient digital currency solutions. Hedera’s support for high transaction throughput, low energy consumption, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility allows it to meet operational and regulatory requirements for digital assets. The integration with Hedera adds to AUDD’s presence across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Stellar, XRPL, Solana, and XDC. This multi-chain approach supports broader interoperability and positions AUDD for use in decentralised finance (DeFi), cross-border payments, and trade applications. Image: Freepik
