Binance has announced that it will support the upcoming upgrade to the Sei (SEI) network. As a result, deposits and withdrawals of tokens on the SEI network will be temporarily suspended starting August 4, 2025. Binance to Support Sei (SEI) Network Upgrade The network upgrade is scheduled to occur at block height 160,945,710, approximately 03:00 CEST on August 5, 2025. Trading of tokens on the network will not be affected by this process. Binance stated that it will handle all technical requirements on behalf of users and that deposits and withdrawals will be reopened once the upgrade is complete and the network is stable. No further announcements will be made on this matter. What is SEI Token? The SEI token serves multiple purposes within the ecosystem: it is staked to secure the network, used to pay transaction fees, and participate in governance decisions.
