Global cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced that it will support the network upgrade and hard fork of the Siacoin (SC) blockchain scheduled to occur on June 6, 2025. Binance to Support Siacoin (SC) Network Update and Hard Fork on June 6 Temporary Suspension of Deposits and Withdrawals To facilitate the upgrade process and ensure a smooth user experience, Binance will temporarily suspend deposits and withdrawals of all tokens on the Siacoin network starting at 08:00 UTC on June 6. The upgrade itself is expected to occur at block height 526,000, which is estimated to be reached around 09:00 on the same day. Important Points to Note: Siacoin (SC) trading will not be affected during the upgrade. Users can continue to trade SC tokens on the Binance platform as usual. Binance will manage all technical aspects of the upgrade on behalf of its users, meaning customers will not need to take any manual action. Deposits and withdrawals will be reopened once the upgraded network is deemed stable and no further announcements will be made on this matter. Binance also reminded that in case of any discrepancies, the original English version of the announcement should be consulted for the most accurate information. The upgrade marks an important step in Siacoin’s ongoing development aimed at improving network performance and functionality. *This is not investment advice.
