The State of Wisconsin Investment Board has terminated its entire investment in the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF in the first quarter of 2025. This development was revealed in a quarterly filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The state pension fund was one of the first institutional investors to invest in spot Bitcoin ETFs, which were launched in the first quarter of 2024. According to its fourth-quarter 13-F filings filed at the end of 2024, the fund had a $321.5 million stake in the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF. Fund officials have not yet made a statement to the press to comment on the issue. However, today, Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a total of $320 million in net inflows and no net outflows among twelve ETFs. Ethereum spot ETFs recorded a total of $63.47 million in net inflows and all nine ETFs reported no outflows. *This is not investment advice.
