Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, made a statement regarding whether YZi Labs (formerly Binance Labs) has invested in Hyperliquid. Making a statement from the X account, CZ stated that YZi Labs does not have any investment, token or stock in Hyperliquid. CZ responded to rumors that Binance was supporting Hyperliquid founder Jeff Yan, clarifying that YZiLabs never invested in Hyperliquid. CZ reminded the crypto community that Jeff Yan was part of YZiLabs' first incubation group in 2018. However, he stated that the project failed and YZiLabs was unable to recover any investment. CZ also stated that he had very little interaction with Jeff and that they were even supposed to meet with Jeff Yan a few months ago but due to a scheduling error, the planned meeting did not happen. CZ added that he supports the developers no matter what happens. “In case you don't know, Jeff (HL) was part of YZiLabs' (then Binance Labs) incubation season 1 batch in 2018 Unfortunately, this project failed.
