Meeds DAO (MEED) is a cryptocurrency token developed by the Meeds Association, a non-profit organization formed by Open Source Software communities. It aims to revolutionize work by creating a Web3 recognition hub, rewarding contributors with tokens for their work. Meeds tokens can be used for perks, exchanged for other currencies, or invested in DeFi protocols. The project was launched in 2020 by Patrice Lamarque and Benjamin Mestrallet, experienced open-source developers turned entrepreneurs, based in Switzerland.
