pTokens BTC (PBTC)

pTokens BTC (PBTC) is a tokenised version of Bitcoin that allows BTC to be used on other blockchains, such as Ethereum, while maintaining a 1:1 peg with the original asset. PBTC is part of the pTokens system, which enables cross-chain movement of assets. The system is powered by the pNetwork and its governance token, PNT, which incentivises validators and supports network security. PBTC's main uses include enabling DeFi participation, liquidity provision, and cross-chain payments, all without requiring users to sell their BTC.
