An American tourist claimed he was kidnapped and drugged by a fake Uber driver in London and then had $123,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) and XRP stolen, local news agency MyLondon reported. According to the report, an American tourist who was partying at a nightclub in London booked an Uber to return home but got into the car of a fake Uber driver instead of the one shown on the Uber app. Afterwards, the American tourist claimed that the fake Uber driver gave him a cigarette after getting into the car, that the cigarette contained drugs, that he was drugged and kidnapped with the cigarette, and that he stole BTC and XRP from his account. According to Turist, the fake Uber driver stole $72,000 worth of XRP and $50,000 worth of Bitcoin from his crypto account. The incident was reported to the police, but no one has been caught yet.
