In light of this, users are urged to avoid these actions during the migration to prevent failed transactions or asset issues. Normal operations are expected to resume following the three-hour upgrade time frame. Earlier, major crypto exchange Binance issued a notice that it will suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the Polygon (POL) network to support the network upgrade and ensure an optimal user experience. Polygon Heimdall v2 Heimdall v2 is a modernized and revamped consensus client that is at the heart of the Polygon PoS network. Similar to the previous version of Heimdall, it manages validators, handles block producer selection, facilitates spans, orchestrates the state sync mechanism between Ethereum and Polygon PoS, and addresses other essential aspects of the system. There are several differences between Heimdall versions 1 and 2, including base64 encoding changes. The data encoding format has been changed from Hex encoded to Base64 encoded. The upgrade has an impact on the validator signing key. To sign transactions in Heimdall v2, validator signing keys must be imported into the keyring. In Heimdall v2, the first transaction of each block will include the encoded vote extensions.
