Guests at last month’s Trump meme coin holders dinner were airdropped up to three NFTs, one of which has already sold for approximately $16,000. Even people who registered but didn’t make the top 220 cutoff to attend, were given an NFT. Among that category, an NFT has already sold for $4,000. Despite the big sales, there appears to be no utility for these NFTs. The official TRUMP meme coin X account called them “historic collector’s items that celebrate the Crypto President.” As promised, if you participated in the “Dinner With Trump”, your $TRUMP NFTs are now in your wallet. These NFT’s are on Solana. They are historic collector’s items that celebrate the Crypto President! 🎖️ 1. It was held at his National Golf Club in Washington, D.C.. Outside the event, more than 100 demonstrators protested the dinner calling for the end of “crypto corruption.” And high-ranking U.S. Democrats claimed that the event could open the door to foreign actors to buy political influence through the meme coin. But that didn’t stop the event from happening. Some attendees relished the hour that President Trump was present. While others were disappointed by the absence of one-on-one Trump time and appalled by the “cheap steak” that was served. It took almost two weeks for the attendees to receive the limited-edition NFTs for attending and holding the tokens. There are three different NFTs, sent depending on how dedicated to the meme coin the recipient was. The “Power to the Holders” NFT was sent to 1,049 addresses and appears to be the bottom tier collectible shared with people who registered for, but didn’t necessarily attend, the dinner. The “Gold Gala Dinner” NFT was sent to 219 addresses belonging to people who attended the event. Finally, 118 “Diamond Hands” NFTs were sent to those that held their tokens throughout the dinner, according to the official Trump meme coin X account. People like Morten Christensen, founder of AirdropAlert, bought a hefty bag of TRUMP tokens on the spot market, thus qualifying for the dinner, while also shorting the same amount elsewhere to reduce the fluctuation of the meme coin’s price. Christensen sold their supply before the dinner and confirmed to Decrypt they did not receive the Diamond Hands NFT as a result. But they said they did receive the Power to the Holders and Gold Gala Dinner NFTs. By selling, they’ve missed out on a potential $16,000 after one Diamond Hands NFT sold for 99.9 SOL late on Monday. This is the only NFT of this class to have sold at the time of writing. As for the other rarities, the Gold Gala Dinner NFT collection has a floor price of 48.15 SOL ($7,700) while the Power to the Holders collection floor price sits at 7.6 SOL ($1,200), according to Magic Eden. One X user suggested that Diamond Hands holders should be invited to play a round of golf at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort. To this, the official TRUMP meme coin account responded, “that would be awesome.” Edited by Stacy Elliott.
